Who am I?

Hi, I’m Ishmam, a Senior Software Engineer and a Team Lead with a passion for building scalable and reliable applications. I have 5 years of experience in the industry and am proficient in Python, Django, Git, Redis, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.

In addition, I am familiar with a wide range of tools and technologies including BigQuery, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GCP, AWS, Sanic, Tornado, JavaScript, ReactJS, Sentry, Jenkins, Celery, NSQ, GoCD, Grafana, Prometheus, jQuery, and Markdown.

At Cefalo AS, I currently lead a team and have designed and developed a generic data loader and data quality checker that significantly reduced debugging time and minimized dependencies between teams. I have also worked on data pipelines, metrics for reliability and availability, and establishing SLOs for Ingress services.

During my time at Strativ AB, I designed and managed Pro-Bits, a research project that helped users boost their mental and physical health by suggesting various activities based on their lifestyle. I also built the core functionalities of Vacci, a vaccination recommendation and booking application, optimized an email marketing tool, and integrated third-party APIs in the Legalroom system. Additionally, I mentored junior engineers on the Strativ ERP project.

At Monico Technologies, I developed a complete notification system for Truck Kothay and oversaw asynchronous device servers capable of handling huge data traffic coming in from 40k+ IoT GPS devices. I also implemented message queuing to improve massive data processing and wrote scalable RESTful services for Finder GPS Tracking, which is the largest vehicle tracking service in Bangladesh for the last decade.

In my free time, I enjoy solving problems on various online judges, with 350+ problems solved, including 220+ on Leetcode. I have also presented a paper entitled "A Noble Color-Texture Hybrid Method for Content-Based Image Retrieval" at the 20th International Conference On Computer and Information Technology (ICCIT 2017), published by IEEE.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology.
